A Toothsome Tale

Last Thursday my preschooler had a dentist appointment to get her teeth cleaned. Starting on Monday she kept asking, “How many days until my dentist appointment?”

On Wednesday, I told her, “Only one more day.”

To which she exclaimed, “Yea! I can’t wait.”

Something tells me she could use a little more excitement in her life.

My kids LOVE the dentist we see in Greenville! They ask to go all the time!

oh boy. I hate the dentist. She must have good teeth. I remember Madeline saying she liked the ride in the chair.

    TOO CUTE!

Hi, I’m Kate

I'm the author of two nonfiction books Getting Past Perfect and Weightless, a storyteller*, overthinker, eating disorder survivor, mom of five, book junkie, socially awkward nerd as well as a speaker (so basically a walking and talking contradiction), and a perfectionist in recovery.

I am currently working towards my MFA in Fiction at Warren Wilson. Thank you to everyone who has read my drafts, offered feedback, and cheered me on. The writing life is often solitary, but I wouldn’t be here without a community of support.
