Oh, I can picture myself in that situation, different scenario maybe, as I don't think I would be brave enough to take mine to the Y! I have a 4 year old, 2 year old twins, and a 7 month baby, and sometimes I feel like I am torn amongst them. I pray for patience all the time and it seems like the answer doesn't always come about in the way that you expect. The baby has been waking up several times a night for quite a while now and all he has to do is smile that sweet smile in the morning and my heart melts and all is forgotten.

Me, too, especially this week. This post made me cry, in fact. With my husband gone, the kids are grabbing desperately for every waking minute ... It can be suffocating. The squabbles are incessant, and I have to remind myself that this is just their way of expressing how much they miss their dad, and how worried they are I'll disappear, too.

In the night, Sarah reaches out in her sleep with one foot, and rests it on my leg, then grabs my jammies with her fist -- sleeping all the while -- and I melt. And I pray that Daddy will come home very soon ... and that God will give me an extra dose of patience in the meantime.
